Once your toddler turns 2, her old baby toys aren’t nearly as exciting as they once were.

Now is the perfect time to introduce a few new age appropriate toys that will keep your toddler entertained and help him learn new skills.

The best toys for toddlers at this age will be ones that

  • Encourage your 2-year-old to use their imagination
  • Strengthen their fine and gross motor skills
  • Improve hand-eye coordination
  • Help them start recognizing colors, shapes, and numbers
  • Encourage them to be active
  • Keep them entertained long enough for you to finish sipping your morning coffee (I see you, mama!)
  • And, preferably, don’t require you to keep buying battery replacements– As a toddler mom myself, I’m not a fan of those noisy toys that drain batteries.
