Printable Deep Cleaning House Checklist

Spring is often the go-to season for deep cleaning your home. Not gonna lie, it does feel great to reset after a long winter.
But you don’t have to wait until spring to grab your scrub brushes!
You can start this weekend. Or right now even.
I’ve created a checklist below you can use as your guide.
Deep Cleaning Checklist

All Rooms
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets, clean floors
- Dust all surfaces
- Vacuum/clean throw rugs
- Clean windows (I like the Windex with vinegar for windows and mirrors. Nothing compares!)
- Open the windows
- Wipe down baseboards and walls
- Dust ceiling corners
- Dust light fixtures and/or ceiling fans
- Launder curtains
- Vacuum/wipe down vents
- Vacuum underneath furniture
- Dust/wipe down decor and shelves
- Wipe down doors and disinfect handles/doorknobs
The kitchen
- Scrub and disinfect the sink
- Clean out the fridge and freezer
- Dust/wipe down the top of your fridge (and any other neglected surfaces)
- Clean behind your fridge and other hard-to-reach places
- Clean microwave inside and out
- Clean oven and stovetop (don’t forget to remove the knobs)
- Clean backsplash
- Wipe down appliances you have
- Wipe down cabinets and hardware
Living room and dining area
- Clean/polish table and chairs
- Dust/polish end tables/coffee table
- Clean couch and other furniture
- Launder blankets and pillows
Laundry/utility room
- Wipe down the washer and dryer
- Clean behind washer and dryer
- Clean the agitator (for top-loading washers)
Bedrooms
- Wash all bedding
- Rotate/flip mattresses if needed
- Dust/polish dressers and nightstands
Bathrooms
- Clean mirrors
- Clean/sanitize sinks
- Wipe down bathroom counters
- Give the toilet a good scrubbing
- Deep clean the shower and/or bathtub
- Clean drains
- Add septic treatment
